Replacing the North American International Auto Show is the multi-day event Motor Bella. This outdoor auto-centric event will be held at the M1 Concourse in Pontiac, around 43km (27 miles) northwest of Detroit. Detroit Free Press/Chemical Bank Marathon
Runners from across the country take part in this marathon and raise millions for charities. The course passes through Downtown Detroit and Downtown Windsor, and you can watch from almost all the most interesting historic neighborhoods.

America's Thanksgiving Parade
First held back in 1924 to great acclaim, this parade has become one of Detroit's biggest and best-loved events of the year. Televised across America, the parade lives up to its name as America's Thanksgiving Parade: watched on television by millions and attended by huge crowds from across the state. In addition to the parade, visitors can also take part in the annual Turkey Trot and the rather grand affair of the Hob Nobble Gobble black-tie fundraiser.
